Susanne Alleyn was born in Munich, Germany, and grew up in Massachusetts and New York. As well as the Aristide Ravel historical mystery series, she is also the author of A Far Better Rest, a reimagining of A Tale of Two Cities. She is currently working on her next fiction and non-fiction projects. Susanne lives in Albany, NY.
