This book is complete garbage please don't let your child read this it's full of completely downgrading words and body shaming. You may disagree but the "happy" ending ends with Elsie agreeing with the hateful things said to her and she says I wasn't just fat I was gross. Stating that being fat is "gross". 😑

I love this book so much because it reminded me of when it was the first day of school for me in second grade. It wasnt good till later. I ended up thinking why I actually hated it but ending up want to feel the experience again!!
