A devastating weapon unleashed in thirteenth-century China . . . a daring rescue in the snowbound mountains along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border . . . a woman gone missing in the jungles of northern Thailand and Myanmar . . . for Cabrillo and company, all of these events will come together—leading to the greatest threat the United States has ever known.

I rate 5 of 5 stars to the audio book "The Jungle" by Clive Cussler. Another in the "Oregon" series centers around Juan Cabrillo and his crew. What I specially liked about this books was the laser focus on the singular story. Of course there were many twists and turns along with some odd tangents, but, it all came back together to result in one of the best books in this series. I can honestly say, I didn't see some of the twists coming and couldn't figure out how some of the tangents played into the mainline, but, wow, it worked out very well! While I love Cussler's works, this book is special in that I've put it on my read-it-again list. Highly recommended!
