Ratings and reviews

I lovede this series, and found it accessible to both those "in the know" about nautical things and newcomers. Unlike O'Brien, who goes into heavy, technical detail about every aspect of a ship, Nelso gives enough to paint the picture with an equal amount of explanation. The story is excellent, the characters interesting and engaging, and I was sad that there were only 3 books!

great read, Francis bickerstaff is one of the best characters going!
