About this ebook

'Reminded me not just what it's like to be young and in love, but what it's like to be young and in love with a book' John Green, author of The Fault in our Stars

Eleanor is the new girl in town, and she's never felt more alone. All mismatched clothes, mad red hair and chaotic home life, she couldn't stick out more if she tried.

Then she takes the seat on the bus next to Park. Quiet, careful and - in Eleanor's eyes - impossibly cool, Park's worked out that flying under the radar is the best way to get by.

Slowly, steadily, through late-night conversations and an ever-growing stack of mix tapes, Eleanor and Park fall in love. They fall in love the way you do the first time, when you're 16, and you have nothing and everything to lose.

Set over the course of one school year in 1986, Eleanor & Park is funny, sad, shocking and true - an exquisite nostalgia trip for anyone who has never forgotten their first love.

This book is what it's like falling in love with a book! The story is dated back in 1986. Eleanor a red haired girl and Park a half Korean boy fall in love. One from a ravaged family and one from a perfect lovely family. This book will remind you of your first love. It will make you smile even if there is an awkward moment. It sheds light on the importance of a family staying together forever and how devastating life becomes(especially for children) when there are problems in married life.It also highlights the problems of bullying in high school. The double narration may make it difficult to read for some readers like 'he' is confused with 'she'(and vice-versa). "They didn't love each other; He needed her and she lived for him." Overall a great book.Worth a Reread. Will keep you entertained till the end :)

From where shall i start.. No words can describe this book! Loved it loved it loved it!! Spreads an idea that you have to be yourself no matter what.. That you are beautiful by heart.. The story's characters are heart connected rather than physically, which i found so interesting and unique.. Every part of this story has its own magical touch! I think parents would love to read this in order to take a moral lesson, that their teens must feel love and care! And that they rather be understanding or they would get lost.. I definitely loved the ending, left me with further expectations! Amazing! My favorite! And i totally recommend. "she looked like art, and art wasn't supposed to look nice, it makes you feel something" "nothing is dirty with park"

Rainbow Rowell and these stupid romantic books leave me wanting more. More nerdy jokes, more teen angst, more strong and fragile girls with their annoyingly smooth and cute guys. More love stories, which is weird, cause there are sure as hell enough romancey teen novels, but apparently not enough from Rowell. And I don't know how, but the characters feel authentic, and not like an adult awkwardly is trying to write youthfully. Elanor and Park is a precious book.

About the author

Rainbow Rowell writes books about people who talk a lot. And people who feel like they're screwing up. And people who fall in love. When she's not writing, Rainbow is reading comic books, planning Disney World trips and arguing about things that don't really matter in the big scheme of things. She lives in Nebraska with her husband and two sons. Find out more about Rainbow, and about her other books like ATTACHMENTS and ELEANOR & PARK at www.rainbowrowell.com.
