Great read, I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. I hope to see many more books starring Ree. There is alot of urban fantasy out there, it's nice to read one that has an original take on how magic works. I would recommend this to anyone who likes strong female characters who are written as a woman, not just a male personality wrapped in a woman's character.

Main character is Latina, and for me that's always a plus. The storyline follows the typical urban fantasy formula, but speaks the tropes through pop culture.

This book is a great nerdy, campy read. It has a lot of elements necessary to a good book, and doesn't try to take itself seriously.
