About this ebook

Master storyteller Stephen King’s classic, terrifying #1 New York Times bestseller of what happens when the barrier between our world and that of the supernatural is breached.

After a terrible construction site accident severs Edgar Freemantle’s right arm, scrambles his mind, and implodes his marriage, the wealthy Minnesota builder faces the ordeal of rehabilitation, all alone and full of rage. Renting a house on Duma Key—a stunningly beautiful and eerily undeveloped splinter off the Florida coast—Edgar slowly emerges from his prison of pain to bond with Elizabeth Eastlake, a sick, elderly woman whose roots are tangled deep in this place. And as he heals, he paints—feverishly, compulsively, his exploding talent both a wonder and a weapon. For Edgar’s creations are not just paintings, but portals for the ghosts of Elizabeth’s past…and their power cannot be controlled…

Stephen King, has always been one of my favorite writers since I was in my teens, a very long time ago. To this day, his books still amaze me, I can't put one down until I have finished. Duma Key was was excellent, up there with some of his best! Thank you again Mr. King

This was my first time reading a Stephen king novel and I must say I really enjoyed this book. At times I was freaked out due to how descriptive he is. However, without having a mental picture the book probably wouldnt have been as good.

Strange, mysterious, eerie, artful. These are all words that come to mind upon completing Duma Key. Duma Key is the tale of a man, wealthy as a result of his business exploits, who is critically injured in work site accident. After his family life breaks down he turns his attention to painting in the quiet locale of Duma Key. But strange forces are at play and is it the paintings causing strange real-world disturbances, or is some other force assisting in their creation? King doesn't disappoint with this title, successfully crafting a story evoking mystery, wonder, sorrow and fear. Will appeal to newcomers and fans of King's work alike.
