About this ebook series

Volume I of the Abaddon Trilogy.
Books I/II/III: CollusionMayhemChaos.

The Abaddon Trilogy by Dan Champagne is a character-driven end-times anti-hero anthology, as told by the denizens of darkness. The only ‘good’ character is the alabaster Angel of God’s Wrath, who’s back for business– Smiting the Wicked. This series has tapped similar veins as Game of Thrones (epic, brutal narratives), the Dresden Files (magic, monsters, mayhem), Dexter (murderous ‘hero’), True Blood (sexy, supernatural violence), Sons of Anarchy (the outlaw life), and Gotham (the mad criminal element).

The scroll of Abaddon (which summons the Destroying Angel who begets the Biblical Apocalypse) has been found, and every vile creature man has ever nightmared of, or (d)evolved into, start creeping out of the shadows, seeking to annihilate one another until a sole victor alone clutches the power of Armageddon in their twisted, evil grasp. All desiring to plunder, subjugate, mutilate, or otherwise demolish Creation itself.

But before that can happen… Laiel Brockade, Son of Perdition, must be killed. He has proven himself a serious and deadly contender in the preternatural arena. Armed with the Devil’s Luck, some powerful sorcery, a posse of psychotic killers, and his feral pet vampire to protect him as he, too, quests for the ultimate magical doodad of destruction. Partly, just so, just maybe, Dad will approve. It ain’t easy living in the ever-shadow of his Big Brother, the Antichrist, especially when regarded as the screw-up of the family. Deserved? Probably. Immolating all upon the Earth and up in Heaven by instigating ‘The End Times’ might just earn Laiel the redemption he so desires… in Hell.

Sons and Daughter of Satan: check. Ruthless biker outlaws: check. Vampires and werewolves: feasting, feuding. Sexy ladies, kicking arse: you betcha. Angels, demons, faeries, gods: yep. Zombies: sorta. Witches, warlocks, ghosts, ghouls: lurking. Magic: abound. Deception, conspiracy, treachery, murder, horror: everywhere. Treasure: for the taking, by force. Cops and robbers: getting slaughtered. Evil: incarnate. General public: unawares, previously. F-bombs dropped: all over the place. An epic Trilogy wherein the fate of existence itself hangs in precarious balance: How else?

Genres: Occult & Supernatural, Horror, Action & Adventure, Sub/Urban Fantasy, Humor/Satire, Philosophy, Religion, War, Pre/Post-Apocalyptic.

Volume II, Book I of the Abaddon Trilogy.

Laiel Brockade is missing. He has been, for close to a year, although it’s only just now that most of his friends and allies are realizing it. That’s what happens when you’re a son of the Devil, with an unlisted phone number. But now, they’re on the case. And with the Devil’s Reapers motorcycle gang, the unshakable detective Ben Arlington, the immortal assassin Cupideau Ahmee Etienne, even Laiel’s apprentice Andy, as well as one new-crowned shadow Prince searching for him, it’s only a matter of time before the man is found and brought out into the light.

But the children of the Devil don’t do well in bright light, and Laiel has finally realized just how small of a chess piece he is on the really big gameboard. His opponents have made their moves. Now it’s time for Laiel and his coven to start making some of their own.

Volume II, Book II of the Abaddon Trilogy.

Laiel Brockade has been found. Fallen down a dark hole for a year, he’s been rescued and brought up into the light once more. But he’s not doing so good. He looks a little chipped around the edges, like a smile with broken teeth. But he’s making his big comeback. And with one of the Devil’s own sons, a ‘Big Comeback’ takes on fantastic, destructive new meaning. His gang’s teeming with monsters and brimming with magic, and they’re out for blood. The problem is, they aren’t wise to the true depths of evil within the man they’re jobbing for. Laiel has some ideas all his own on how exactly to hop, skip, and jump his way to the other side of the checkerboard of darkness. The jester of the Devil’s court, your friend and mine, Mr. Laiel Arturus Brockade, is nearly positioned to shout “King Me!” That, or he’ll flip over the gameboard and shoot his opponent dead. Either way, he’s not just playing to win… He’s cheating.

Volume II, Book III of the Abaddon Trilogy.

Laiel Brockade is back. A little less pretty, a little unsteady on his feet. But despite all of that, he’s gone to war. To defeat the opponents arrayed against him demands every last ounce of the power, ingenuity, and evil that he’s known for. But nothing ever works out quite to order for the most wayward son of the Devil, now does it? A conflict of many sides, where every hand holds a dagger, and every dagger hovers at someone’s back. At last his plans come to fruition, but the fruit borne thereof is sour indeed, because by the end he’s achieved everything that he set out to do. Much to his dismay…

Volume III, Book I of the Abaddon Trilogy.

The vampire war continues, having spilled out into the streets. And the authorities have taken notice. The Night Reapers get captured. So Laiel Brockade is called back from his long vacation on a boat. His return is not well received, but then again, his ex-friends did ask him back. For a rescue mission. Which isn't such a good fit for a guy like Laiel. On top of that, the war against the vampires is also a war amongst them, and that front is being handled by Bess, the daughter of Dracula, and her immortal lover, the assassin, Cupideau. Expect body bags and ample property damage before it's all over… pretty much a regular end to the week for Laiel and his pals.

Genres: Occult & Supernatural, Horror, Action & Adventure, Sub/Urban Fantasy, Humor/Satire, Philosophy, Religion, War, Pre/Post-Apocalyptic.
