Tahereh Mafi
Tahereh Mafi is a best selling New York Times and USA Today author. She currently resides in Santa Monica, California, where she continues to write.
Mafi was born in a small town in Connecticut in 1988. She is the youngest child of her family and has four older brothers.
Mafi graduated from a small liberal arts college in Laguna Beach that was two miles from the shores. She has varying levels of competency in eight different languages. She studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain for a semester in college. During this trip she had the opportunity to be fully immersed in the Spanish language.
She loves to read. When she is not found reading a book, she can be found reading candy wrappers, coupons and old receipts.
Shatter Me was her first novel and was published on November 15, 2011. Since that point Unravel Me and Ignite Me have been published. She also has two e-books that go with the Shatter Me series, Destroy Me and Fracture Me.
She is married to fellow author, Ransom Riggs.
