King Kong (1933) was a classic and it can not be beaten by any remakes. Although this remains true, I find this to be an all time fantastic remake. I love the silver back Gorilla design and Kong just looks off the CHAIN!!! The film has a really slow start but the arrival to Skull Island is when things get real. Kong is portrayed beautify and they really made a real charachter with emotion. It sucked to see this version of Kong go out like all the others. And dont get me started on that fight scene. Ooooooooweee! King Kong vs 3 t-rex's was the best cgi fight of all time! Allways my favorite scene. If this Kong was Godzilla's size, then Godzilla would be out colder than a Mike Tyson knockout. And im a bigger Godzilla fan! 8/10

A mixed bag. Casting for some of the characters is downright bad (Jack Black is great and all, but does not belong in an epic three-hour long King Kong film to say the least), and some of the CGI is very dated, which is odd, since Peter Jackson made the LotR trilogy, which has great special effects. That being said, the action is mostly superb, and there's a really well-done, nasty scene with some huge bugs and the death of Kong is still very sad. The stuff about the movie that should work does.

Movie sucked......just didn't do justice with this new remake. No wonder Ms. Wray refused a cameo on this film. But poor woman she passed on. These 2 remakes the one in 1976 and 2005 both sucked. Both female leads were horrible in the portriel of the Ann Darrow character. Who should of been scared to death by the ape...but nah.....Jessica was turned on by the great ape and Ms. Watts acted like a clown doing cartwheels. ..can you imagine that ? Ms. Fay Wray was just perfect in this Beauty & the Beast
