In an attempt to finally break into show business, struggling theatre actor Alexander (Matthias Schweighöfer) spontaneously slips into the role of the long-legged starlet Alexandra – and is hired straight away. Things would be perfect if it weren’t for fellow actor and superstar Sarah (Alexandra Maria Lara), who he immediately falls madly in love with. But how can he ever win the heart of his dream woman when she sees him as her new confidante and best friend? As if that weren’t enough, he also runs into trouble with an overly friendly colleague and a bitchy ex-girlfriend – more problems than one man (or woman) can deal with alone. Unfortunately, his brothers (Detlev Buck, Maximilian Brückner) and their friend (Denis Moschitto) aren’t much help either.
