Based on the best selling novel, The 5th Wave, four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, Cassie (Chloë Grace Moretz) is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie teams up with a young man who may become her final hope – if she can only trust him.

Ratings and reviews

The story line fails to engage or maintain interest, the only saving grace is chloe. The effect and story line after 20mins is akin to a low budget sci fci. My advice is save these 112mins of your life, stare at the wall, contemplate life or watch paint dry- its would time better spent

Starts off well then after 30 minutes its shot is bolt both in special effects and interest. From there to the end its a rather lame, tedious affair. The ending is very poor. Don't waste your time and money on this turkey, there's a reason it has so few rating stars.

Oh, no! I got conned again by the preview. This one is so cheep that they don't even bother to order some alien monster props, plastic or CGI. Behold! Turn around and spend your money and time elsewhere.
