On the eve of Halloween, 17-year-old Megan (Bailee Madison) and her friends are involved in a prank that goes horribly wrong, putting their friend Beth (Natalie Ganzhorn) into a coma. Unbeknownst to them, the prank sets loose a creature that will track down and kill each person involved in the incident on the next eve of Halloween unless they somehow transfer the curse to another person.
