Based on the second gothic novel of the iconic V.C. Andrews series about the Dollanganger family, this Lifetime Original Movie begins ten years after the siblings have escaped the attic where their mother Corrine (Heather Graham) and grandmother Olivia (Ellen Burstyn) kept them locked away for more than two years. When Cathy (Rose McIver) finds herself in an abusive relationship with a fellow dancer, Julian (Will Kemp), Christopher (Wyatt Nash) and Cathy are forced to face the forbidden feelings they developed for one another while coming of age during captivity. But when tragedy strikes the Dollangangers once again, Cathy returns to Foxworth Hall to confront her grandmother and seek revenge on her mother with a plan to seduce her husband Bart (Dylan Bruce). When Christopher runs to Cathy's side, the two are determined to start over again--together. Bailey Buntain also stars. (2014)

I hardly ever leave reviews, but I can't bite my tongue on this movie. I don't know if I can cuss on here so I won't. But I want to. Just finished the book was so thrilled to watch the movie. And this is what we get. Why did Flowers in the attic (2014) fallow the book and this movie doesn't. I don't care about the bad acting it's a Lifetime movie. Sure they didn't have a lot of money for a lot of takes. Just stick to the book. A few liberties can be taken but to rewrite the book. Crazy... I wont my 5 bucks back to.

Sooo disappointed! Doesn't follow the book at all! Paul was alive for at least half of the book & it barely mentioned him in the movie, or HIS story for that matter. Cathy MARRIED Julien & he committed suicide after the car accident, that cathy wasn't even in, when he learned he wouldn't be able to dance again. Chris wasn't ever engaged, only dated a few girls. Carrie was in the hospital for days & PAUL was there taking care of her, etc etc... Barely folled the book. 😳

I watched the movie last night with my grandma and we both agreed that we cannot wait until the next one comes out. It's full of excitement and tragedy. This movie is a must see.
