1 The Telephone Call

Season-only
Wimzie wants to find an anniversary gift for her parents, but she doesn't have much money. Then the telephone rings. Wimzie is there, alone in the room, and it becomes very difficult for her not to answer, even though she knows it's not allowed. Someone at the other end of the line tells her she has won a Paloni Moroni Macaroni Machine. Wimzie believes her gift problem is solved and authorizes the people on the phone to deliver the machine. Once the machine arrives, however, Wimzie discovers there's a $50 delivery charge! The kids quickly hide the macaroni maker. When Graziella and Rousso eventually find it, each believes it's an anniversary present from the other. Wimzie finally tells the truth, and explains the circumstances surrounding her blunder. After reminding Wimzie to beware of free gifts (particularly when they're offered over the phone,) her parents discover that, after all, the Paloni Maroni machine really is the perfect anniversary gift!
2 Am I Dreaming?
1/1/99
Season-only
Wimzie dreams that Jonas doesn't like her anymore. When she wakes up, she has trouble distinguishing her dream from reality and refuses to play with Jonas. Rousso attempts to improve the situation by inviting the children to paint a wall. When Wimzie still refuses to speak to Jonas however, Jonas grows frustrated and decides not to speak to her either. Later on, while the children are painting, Wimzie does something she's not allowed to, she climbs a ladder and gets stuck. Jonas climbs up to help her get down. That's when Rousso comes in and catches Jonas still up on the ladder. Wimzie tries to speak up, but Rousso won't listen to her explanations and gives Jonas a time out. Wimzie tells Yaya that she doesn't understand why Jonas let himself be punished in her place. Yaya tells her it's because Jonas is her friend and likes her very much. Wimzie decides to make the first step and goes to Jonas for a heart-to-heart talk. After a good explanation, their friendship is restored and Wimzie stops thinking about her bad dream.
3 What's the Truth?
1/1/99
Season-only
Truth is examined from every angle. An accident occurs, and the children are adamant about finding the culprit. Wimzie clings to one story. Jonas clings to another. The stalemate is set up to last a long time, so Yaya steps in to organize a debate. Jonas and Wimzie each relate their very different version of events. So Yaya shows the kids a photograph and asks them to describe it. Each child describes something different, according to what he or she considers important. Yaya uses her magic circle to explain that sometimes, the truth can be difficult to determine. The children learn that even when they're certain they've told the truth, it's wise to keep a cool head and listen to other people's opinions before jumping to conclusions and confusion.
4 Wimzie the Prankster
1/1/99
Season-only
Wimzie is having fun playing tricks on her friends. They quickly get fed up with it, and try to find a way to play a trick on her too. In the meantime, Rousso and Graziella want to take Wimzie to a movie, providing she tidies up the mess in the garage and her bedroom first. Wimzie does just that, but before Rousso and Graziella get to inspect her work, Jonas, Horace, and Loulou have their revenge. They mess up the garage and bedroom again, and Wimzie is none the wiser. Rousso and Graziella therefore believe that Wimzie hasn't done what they've asked. Wimzie is distraught, and soon it'll be too late to go to the movie after all! When her friends see her so sad and learn why she tidied up in the first place, they regret their prank and help Wimzie tidy things up again. Everyone learns that tricks aren't always fun, especially when people go too far.
5 My Doll is for Sale
1/1/99
Season-only
Everyone's collecting things for a charity drive and Yaya takes out a book on antiques. She explains that an antique is something old that is sometimes worth money. Among the things collected for the drive is a doll that belonged to Wimzie. Loulou likes it so Wimzie gives it to her. While Loulou plays with the doll, Wimzie wishes she had enough money to buy a "Zynzong space station" advertised on TV. Later, Wimzie and Yaya discover that the doll Wimzie has given to Loulou is actually worth a lot of money, according to the book on antiques. Wimzie tries to convince Loulou to give the doll back, but Loulou says no. Wimzie finally tells Loulou she's willing to share the profits from the sale of the doll, and Loulou agrees (she wants to buy a bicycle.) The two girls get ready to sell the doll, but realize that they rather like the it after all, and that the doll is worth more to them than money, a Zynzong space station, or even a bicycle.
6 The Show-Off
1/1/99
Season-only
Loulou brags and her friends are annoyed by her feats balancing a pencil on the tip of her nose, making paper hats, etc. Jonas, in particular, is sad and a bit jealous of his sister. He, Horace, and Wimzie decide that each time Loulou shows off, they'll leave or turn their backs on her. Loulou sees what they're doing but doesn't understand why. Yaya explains to Loulou that there's nothing wrong with showing people what she can do, but that she should choose her moments. Yaya then suggests creating the moment with a "Show-off show", where everyone can do something they're proud of. While the kids are getting ready, Yaya discovers that Loulou is going to do the same trick as Jonas, only better. Yaya explains to her that Jonas also needs to prove that he's good at something. Loulou is still a little unclear about it all, but understands that if she does everything better than Jonas, it will make him sad. During the show, Loulou remembers Yaya's words and decides to let her big brother show everyone that he's just as talented as she is.
7 So Hard to be a Grown-Up
1/1/99
Season-only
The children want to be treated as grown-ups and beg Yaya to leave them alone at home. Yaya pretends to go along with it and goes out. But she stays close and watches the children through the window. The children seem to be getting along quite well in her absence. So she decides to test them by giving them a phone call. When the phone rings, Wimzie hesitates, but answers and tells Yaya, who has disguised her voice, that she and her friends are alone at home. That's a no-no... Yaya then rings the doorbell. The children refuse to answer and begin barking instead, as if a dog were guarding the house. Yaya feels the children have done rather well and decides to "come back home". She comes in, sneezes, and accidentally locks herself in the closet while hanging up her coat. The children hear only her sneeze and the sound of the door slamming shut and they become frightened. Yaya calls out to the children and pounds on the door for them to open it, but the children are too scared to draw near. Wimzie, however, has an idea she dials Yaya's cellular phone number, and Yaya answers from inside the closet. Finally the children free Yaya and she tells them that, overall, she thinks they've been pretty good "grown-ups".
8 From Dirt... to Ice Cream
1/1/99
Season-only
A thick fog keeps the kids from playing outside. They spend time anxiously waiting for Graziella who promised to take them out for ice cream and has also mentioned something about brand new special dirt for Jonas. Horace, Loulou and Wimzie poke fun at Jonas' fascination with dirt but Yaya explains that without dirt, there would be no ice cream. She demonstrates to the stunned children that ice cream comes from the milk the cows make after having eaten the grass that grows... in the dirt/earth. Yaya even talks about how the fog that's making Graziella's plane late is important for the plants and flowers. She also talks about the role of spiders and about how bats can fly in the dark. The children see the connections between the many elements throughout the web of life. When Graziella finally comes home, the children are proud to explain that everything in nature has an important role to play and that they know exactly where ice cream comes from.
9 Shaggy's Visit
1/1/99
Season-only
One morning, a cute little lost dog appears in the garden. The children want to keep him, but Rousso explains that first they must bring him to the dog pound to see if its owner is looking for him. Wimzie is convinced that the dog, which she calls Shaggy, ran away because his master no longer wanted him. Moreover, the idea of leaving the animal at the pound worries her. So she decides to hide Shaggy and tells her parents that the dog has run away again. Yaya later learns that Shaggy was the sole companion of an elderly woman who is now very sad and misses him very much. Wimzie did not realize that the dog could be as important to someone else, and so she tells the truth. Shaggy is returned to the old lady, who is so happy to have found her dog again that she lets Wimzie and her friends visit as often as they like.
10 Wimzie's Rainbow Wig
1/1/99
Season-only
Graziella borrows a wig for a costume party. She shows it to Wimzie but asks her not to touch it. Wimzie decides the wig is prettier than her own hair. Later, unable to resist, she tries it on, admires herself in the mirror, struts about, and eventually realizes that she can't take the wig off. It's stuck! She tries pushing and pulling, but nothing works. Loulou tries to help, and the boys try to hide her, etc. Wimzie begins to miss her own hair and, after much ado and worry, decides to ask her mom for help. Graziella is not amused. But Wimzie has been so frightened to never see her hair again that Graziella has little more to add to help her daughter realize that rules exist for good reasons, and that it's best to ask a grown-up first if she's tempted to play with something she doesn't know or that she's been told not to touch.
11 Ants in My Pants
1/1/99
Season-only
Ants have invaded the kitchen cupboards. Yaya shows Wimzie how to evict the squatters with a twig dipped in honey. Jonas arrives with a broken ant farm that Rousso must fix for a toy drive for the children's hospital. Once the ant farm is repaired, the children test it by filling it with the ants that have now been exiled to the garden. Yaya makes them promise to leave the ant farm outside. But a storm approaches and Wimzie, worried about the ants, hides the ant farm in her bedroom. The ants escape and soon Yaya catches the children scrambling to gather the ants up again. Wimzie admits what she has done. Yaya understands that her grand-daughter had good intentions, but reminds her that she can always ask for help if something worries her. Once again the honeyed twig is used to lure the ants into the ant farm, and finally the ant farm is ready for the toy drive.
12 The Silent Treatment
1/1/99
Season-only
Wimzie is listening to her new tape on birds. She repeats everything she's learning to anyone within earshot. Her friends soon tire of her ramblings on about pigeons and starlings and, without meaning any harm, say they'd prefer it if she stopped talking. Miffed, Wimzie takes the comment literally and decides to clam up even though all her friends really wished for was that she stop talking about birds. Time goes by and Wimzie still isn't saying a word. The others try to make her talk but to no avail. That's when Loulou notices that a nest and the eggs it contains are about to fall off a tree. Everyone runs to Wimzie for advice. At first, she thinks it's a trick and continues to give them the silent treatment. But then, something makes her realize this is for real and she quickly masterminds an "Operation Save the Nest", giving instructions and encouragements to her friends. Once the nest is safe again, everyone realizes that Wimzie has spoken and the misunderstanding is soon cleared up.

Season-only
Rousso is playing hockey with Bo while Wimzie and Loulou get their dolls ready for a doll show. Rousso and Bo finish their hockey game with a parade, and Wimzie is a bit envious of all the fun Bo is having with his dad. Jonas tells her it's because Bo is a boy, and boys always have more fun with their dads. Wimzie grows increasingly jealous and decides to turn herself into a boy, so that she too can have more fun with her daddy. She only wants to do boy things now. Rousso decides to give her a demonstration in order to prove to her that, no matter what the activity is, parents have as much fun with their daughters as with their sons. Rousso makes cookies with Bo ("A girl thing!" Wimzie thinks), shows Wimzie how to sew ("Dads don't sew!" Wimzie thinks), and invites her to play hockey ("Wow!" she says...). Wimzie gradually stops worrying about whether she is having fun doing boy things or girl things and drops her boy disguise.

While digging up new specimens for his dirt collection, Jonas finds an old parlor game containing "gold" coins. Fascinated by the golden coins, the children each try to accumulate as many as possible, often at the others' expense. Whereas the children had been in the habit of helping each other out with no thought of compensation, golden coins are now exacted for every deed. In the midst of all this, Horace keeps forgetting to prepare an anniversary gift for his parents. At the end of the day, and at the last minute, Horace is very sad to realize he still has nothing to give his parents. She decides to embellish her story and tells her friends that she saved someone during a fire. The others are so impressed that they decide to throw a hero's party in her honor. In the meantime, Wimzie starts going to bed very late. Her parents hope she'll soon realize that going to bed early and getting a good night's sleep is important, particularly for growing children. It's a hard lesson for Wimzie, as she falls asleep just as she and her friends appear on TV, and learns why it's important to rest at the proper time. The storm causes a power failure, and the children see first-hand what happens when there is no electricity... the TV doesn't work, the food spoils, it's too dark to see very well, and the world in general seems paralyzed. In the meantime, Rousso heads to the fire station to undergo a physical examination for his work. When he comes home, he tells everyone that he failed the test and explains to Horace that he failed because he exercised too much and did not eat enough. Unfortunately, they begin to suspect that the video game was gobbled up by the recycling truck. Jonas is despondent. His friends decide to have a parade to cheer him up, but since Bo is napping, it has to be a "silent parade". That's when the children hear electronic beeping sounds coming from... Bo's room! The children have trouble understanding why the grown-ups must lie. Later on, Bo decides to attack the statue. Horace tries to stop him, but accidentally knocks the statue over in the process. The children glue the statue together again as best they can, but decide to tell Rousso and Graziella the truth when they return. Their honesty inspires Graziella and Rousso to tell Alice no lies. Horace, however, thinks he's being hilarious, and continues imitating Whammer. His friends decide to show him how annoying it can be by imitating his silliness, but their strategy fails. Horace is simply thrilled to find himself among fellow Whammer fans! Yaya encourages Jonas, Loulou, Bo, and Wimzie to ignore Horace's antics, but Horace whammers on... until he finally breaks a surprise sculpture that Wimzie was making for Yaya. The next day, she peers into the telescope and sees all sorts of amusing things going on in the neighbourhood. When Yaya discovers this, she tells Wimzie that it's not a good idea to spy on people. Wimzie understands the new rule. Later on, Horace smells something burning. Wimzie hesitates, but decides to make an exception to the rule. Looking into the telescope once again, she discovers there is a fire! Should she tell the others and risk being punished? Or should she keep it to herself and risk letting something dangerous happen? Just as they're about to present it to him, however, Wimzie spots the marble, says it belongs to her and wonders why no one thought to ask her about it. Everyone points out the fact that she hasn't let anybody get a word in edgewise. Wimzie then realizes that the others also have important things to say.
