Absolute GARBAGE. If you are a fan of the original series don't even bother with this. There is no character development, the plots are rushed and lazy. There is no over arching story so the series tries to rely on the villains and most of their motives are contradictory and don't make sense. The modernization of the series was too rapid and went from like 1700s china to the roaring 20s America. Its just awful. It makes me angry. I watched the whole thing hoping it would get better. It didn't.... Often times a terrible series can be redeemed by an epic ending (think Stephan King) but not thisone. The series ending was a bigger let down than your group project partners in college. Just skip this one and re-watch the The Last Airbender. I want my money back.....

Based on our experience with purchased Legend of Korra seasons on iTunes, I would be very wary of purchasing any Nick / Viacom show online. They have a long history of seemingly capricious decisions regarding their content and they not only have reserved the right to "take away" your license to view purchased content, they have done so recently with The Legend of Korra on iTunes. After several weeks and a lot of noise, our access to our purchased content was restored. Just be mindful: if you think you own the episodes you are purchasing, you are wrong. Worse, you are buying from a company that appears to see customers as pawns in the larger war for control in the digital media marketplace. If restricting - or removing - your access to your paid-for episodes advances that agenda, they won't think twice about sticking it to you. Wait for the physical media if you must purchase - much harder for Nick to take away.

Korra is a multi-faceted story that makes one laugh and cry in just one episode. It's amazing to me how Korra is set in the same world as TLAB but it's completely different. It deals with more mature situations than The last airbender. They probably did this because they didn't want Korra to be compared to TLAB. While Korra doesn't show any death the characters do have to deal with lose and grief. TLAB started off lighthearted and gradually worked toward a more serious tone, whereas the tone of Korra starts out on a serious note and continues on in that vein. I've known people who have not liked Korra, the series, and I think I understand why. Every major character has a flaw in them that we're meant to dislike. Some people can't see past that to the deeper character development that they're trying to do. At the end of season 1 I didn't like Korra, the character, much. But at the end of season three, I loved Korra just as much (if not more) than I ever loved Aang.
