Aquarion EVOL is a surprisingly awesome show, especially when considering that its prequel was just average. Evol somehow takes the low points of the original and elevates them to give the viewer a much better appreciation for it. Anyway, the characters are great, the storyline does have a few stagnant episodes but for the most part it builds up in important ways. Anyway, if you don't mind that the mechas are not the spotlight (the characters are) you'll probably really enjoy this show.

I originally watched it for the mech action but stayed for the characters. This show is very character driven, and sometimes I did get frustrated at the characters but overall it was good in my opinion. It is not show for everyone but it is still good in my opinion.
