In the series premiere, best friends Leigh, Marianne, Leila, Kelly and Raina navigate their social lives, relationships, families and careers in New York City. Take a peek inside Leigh's hectic household where she and her baby daddy are known to push a few buttons. Plus, publicity maven Kelly is on the brink of a birthday--but she'd never allow anyone to know which one! Meanwhile, Leila's having a hard time getting her fashion line to the masses, but asking for help from her good friend Marianne who has the hook-ups might just be her next best move. Finally, Raina is newly divorced and not shy about dating around, but it could come to bite her!

Marianne loves what she does and has a ball interviewing celebrities, but her real passion lies in stand-up comedy. She's finally ready to get up on stage and pursue her dream--but it just might be at the expense of her friends! Is she honestly prepared to lose those closest to her just to get a laugh? Meanwhile, Leigh is on the hunt for the perfect Manhattan pad that satisfies both her and her husband's expectations, but making Chris happy is no easy feat and she may just have to be willing to compromise. Plus, Leila is under the gun at work and at home as she brainstorms several looks for her new collection, while her boyfriend Brent focuses on starting a family.

Now that Leila knows she's pregnant, designing clothes has never been harder! Not only is she wrestling with the idea of telling her boyfriend, but she's reconsidering her entire career in fashion. Meanwhile, Raina isn't wasting any time trying to find her true prince charming--but she sure is kissing a lot of frogs for practice. Plus, Leigh's work-life balance suffers when she can't find a babysitter for Rome, and Marianne comes to blows with her former best friend who has ditched her for another woman in his life!

Summer descends upon New York and the heat drives the girls out of the city and into the Hamptons for Super Saturday--a celebrity filled, charity event. However, Leigh has the hardest time breaking away from her family as it would be her first time sleeping away from baby Rome and Chris argues that she promised to go house hunting that weekend. Meanwhile, Leila still hasn't taken a pregnancy test to confirm whether she's expecting.

Newly divorced Raina is striking out when it comes to finding the next perfect guy. Her recent dating behavior has proven both to herself and her friends that she's looking more and more desperate--but it also doesn't help when she starts having public meltdowns. Meanwhile, Leigh has expanded her house hunt to New Jersey to satisfy Chris' need for outdoor space, but breaking the news to her Manhattan boss may not be easy. Plus, Kelly grabs Marianne an insane career opportunity when she books her as a stand-up comedian at the grand opening of The Stand. However, when Marianne learns who the headliner is, the gig doesn't seem like her cup of tea.

In the season finale, Leila is on pins and needles as she gears up for her very first runway show--and it's during New York Fashion Week! With her clothes stuck in India and the event planner breathing down her back, Leila turns to the people she can depend on the most--her friends! Kelly chips in by booking her client, supermodel Jessica White, to headline the show, but a misunderstanding has the model threatening to walk! Meanwhile, Leigh sees a totally different side of Chris when they move to New Jersey, and Raina thinks she might have hit the jackpot with a new guy.
