About this show

Child Genius is part docu-soap, part competition. The series will bring us into a world where children far surpass their parents when it comes to brain power. From chess champions to mathematical whizzes, these prodigies run the gamut of mental achievements. We will follow eight child geniuses and their families at home as they prepare for weekly elimination competitions in various subjects such as spelling, math, logic, memory and general knowledge. When these geniuses ultimately come together to compete in a Mensa sponsored tournament only one will me named "Smartest Kid in America.

These gifted children come from various backgrounds, yet most of the parents on this show seem more competitive than the kids. I'll be watching as it's all new to me.
