Season 1 episodes (12)

1 Web of Deceit
11/11/09
At the location of their first "classroom," the legendary Fort Mifflin, veteran instructors Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango promise lots of hard work as the students learn how to gather information and properly review analysis in order to crack the case. Expect lots of blood, sweat and tears from the candidates as they try their best to gain trust from the top-notch paranormal team. While some may have had some ghost hunting training before the Academy, they'll learn how to investigate spooky shadows, ominous voices and creepy sensations the TAPS way.
2 The Honeymoon's Over
11/18/09
This week on Ghost Hunters Academy, Steve and Tango take the investigators-in-training down to North Carolina and put their skills to the test at the U.S.S. Carolina. Their job will be to collect concrete evidence that will back up the chilling claims of doors slamming, people talking, and pots and pans banging when there's no one else in the room. They'll learn how to use more ghost hunting technology. But will their egos get in the way as they try to maneuver through the haunted ship maze? Tune in to see if one of the students ends up walking the plank and kissing their dreams of becoming a Ghost Hunter goodbye.
3 Back to Basics
11/25/09
Things heat up on Ghost Hunters Academy as the group heads to Philadelphia to investigate the place where Al Capone did time at the Eastern State Penitentiary. This jailhouse has been around since the 1800s and certainly has seen it all, from inmates dying in the hospital ward to prisoners going crazy in solitary confinement. The dark dreary cellblocks may be filled with spirits, simply trying to plead their case. Many claim to have heard footsteps and voices nearby, as well as seen shadows lurking the halls. But the students may be shaking in their boots from more than just ghosts this week. Steve and Tango make an addition to the class. A new investigator-in-training arrives, causing some dissension among the group. Will she be able to make the cut and send someone packing, or will the original team remain intact? Find out in this dramatic episode of Ghost Hunters Academy!
4 Drama Queen
12/2/09
When the class travels upstate to check out Buffalo Central Terminal this week, they receive a surprise drama lesson as they're put to the test dealing with conflict in the group. When Steve and Tango switch up the game by pairing students with different partners, tensions run high and the pressure is on. With limited time, there's lots of ground to cover. The recruits need evidence to back up countless claims. Some say they've seen ghosts drinking from the water fountain while others have witnessed eerie voices, creepy footsteps and full body apparitions. Will everyone be able to take the heat or will someone get cold feet and have to start packing?
5 The Blame Game
12/9/09
Recruits have their work cut out for them on Ghost Hunters Academy as the team heads down to Florida to investigate the St. Augustine Lighthouse. Nerves kick in when there's an addition to the group, which means class is dismissed for one of the scholars. While students get an A+ for execution in set-up, they may not do quite as well debunking some of the haunted claims. They'll have to collect evidence backing up eerie footsteps, creepy voices and lights turning off and on by themselves. Will someone step up and stand out from the group, or will more than one person be packing their bags this time around?
6 The Final Exam
12/16/09
Everything the candidates have learned this semester is put to the test in their final investigation at the Essex County Asylum, the sprawling, abandoned infirmary that's supposedly home to the spirits of thousands who died within its now-decaying walls. The cadets will have to put all fears aside, especially when Steve and Tango tag along to observe their investigative skills. In a final attempt to show the TAPS team they've got what it takes, whose hard work will pay off enough to earn their spot on the Ghost Hunters International team?
7 The New Class
6/2/10
School is back in session for Ghost Hunters Academy. In all-new episodes, eight new cadets are competing for one spot on TAPS and right away have to show off their investigation abilities at the Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, KY. Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango are on board to show the new cadets the ropes, but tensions run high early on. One recruit repeatedly abandons their squad, opting to investigate solo, and alienates the team in the process. This season also features Ghost Hunters' Jason Hawes, who will assess each group's performance and eliminate a contestant every week. Who will make the cut? Who will be the first eliminated? Tune in to find out.
8 Crazy For Power
6/9/10
Training is over and the time has come for the cadets to prove themselves as they travel to Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. With Steve and Tango watching from the sidelines, each team must investigate with the appointed leader at the helm. In the end, one team works cohesively as a unit and wins raves in the evaluation. The other struggles with bickering and draws the ire of Tango, due to a bossy leader and huge technical gaffe that costs the team hard evidence. When Jason Hawes returns to eliminate another competitor, will he side with the embattled team leader or send them packing?
9 Dissension In The Ranks
6/16/10
The competition heats up as the cadets travel to Hartford, CT to investigate the Mark Twain House. With only four investigations remaining, the margin of error has become razor thin, as the slightest of mistakes could send any of these investigators packing. In the evaluation, each cadet is forced to nominate someone they think should be eliminated. After a tense deliberation, Jason, Steve and Tango have to send someone home... with shocking results.
10 Island Castaway
6/23/10
Only five cadets remain as the group travels to Fort Delaware, the civil war prison on Pea Patch Island. With an odd number of cadets left in the competition, Steve and Tango decide to have one team leader and let them call the shots. The leader tries to learn from the mistakes made in previous investigations, but in the process comes off as abrasive by interrupting the tour and quizzing the groups during the investigation. Two cadets try to separate themselves from the rest with outside-the-box EVP sessions, serenading potential paranormal guests and pretending to be a civil war census taker. Will it be enough to save them from Jason's elimination?
11 Schooled at Shawshank
6/30/10
With the competition almost complete, the four remaining cadets face their most daunting challenge, Mansfield Reformatory. Referred to by a former inmate as an "evil" place, Mansfield once housed Ohio's most heinous offenders. Now the cadets will investigate to see if the sprits of someone, or something, still lingers. Of all the TAPS qualities, honesty has never been called in question for any of the cadets... until now. During the elimination, it's revealed the group leader lied to Steve and Tango, taking credit for something they didn't discover. Will it cost them their dream job or will they move on to investigate another day?
12 Finals at the Stanley Hotel
7/7/10
With a spot in TAPS so close within their grasp, the last remaining cadets head deep in the heart of the Rockies to face their steepest challenge in the Stanley Hotel, famously known as the inspiration of Stephen King's The Shining. In order to stand out on the final investigation, the cadets must pull out all the stops, and as a result collect some of the most astonishing evidence found all season. In the end, who will walk away as the newest member of TAPS? And who will walk away with their dreams crushed? Tune in for the result.

For This is a learning experience for me all r very professional. The only thing I would suggest is the camera people should try to focus on not so much u the investigator and more on the room they r filming

It's ok. Again, just like with Ghost Hunters, the locations that they go to are very cool but all the drama of trying to find a new ghost hunter is blown out of proportion. Most of the evidence they collect isn't real anyway, so why have these people jump through all these hoops? Just to entertain us, or is it YOU (TAPS Members: Jason, Steve and Tango) that want to be entertained?
