This is my opinion and it will be excepted and/or rejected. To start off with, between the time these shows and other related shows started the reality of the end results has changed the hobby experdentialiy, in as much as what money will buy and what it cost to create the end product. I have seen prices on (ie. cars) things sell for far more than they are actually worth. At one time if someone wanted to build a hotrod they would decide what they wanted and go looking for a car or body and go from there. The project would take quite a long time, but the end results was exactly what the owner wanted and had in mind. The entire project was a labor of love and the owner knew every inch, nut and bolt and had the scared knuckles along with the stories to go along with the creation. They owned everything right down to the bragging rights saying, this is mine and I built this. This being said, life has become extremely impersonal, look at what I got and "I GOT TO HAVE IT NOW", no matter what it cost, takes or what i have to sacrefice to be one up on others. Technology is the way of life but, I believe that man kind has lost contact of their grass roots.

Love the show. I have traveled three times to Texas from New York. I love Dallas, Planning to move there in the near future. I have been to Gas Monkey Garage and Gas Monkey Bar And Grill. I loved it. Gas Monkey live with the Mopar show was Crazy. I hope i will have a chance to meet you Richard and Arron. I am s all crazy car guy and are in the same age like your guys. I have a modern Chevy Malibu SS and it is bad to the bone. Hopefully on my next trip i will bring her with me. We could get some ideas from.

This is an awesome show. Kinda upset at the fact i paid to get Season 2 and only 7 episodes were made for the season and now all of a sudden there starting season 3 on a car that was bought at the end of season 2 they should have just continued on with the rest of season two. Shame on you Discovery Channel.
