1 The X-Files - My Struggle
1/23/16
Thirteen years after the original series run, the next mind-bending chapter of the thrilling series THE X-FILES is here. FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY have been approached by TAD O’MALLEY, a popular conspiracy theorist web-TV show host, who believes he has uncovered a significant government conspiracy. With the assistance of FBI Asst. Dir. WALTER SKINNER, O’Malley seeks to enlist the help of former X-Files agents Mulder and Scully, who have since severed ties with the FBI. Through O’Malley, they are introduced to SVETA, a possible alien abductee who shares shocking information with them that will challenge everything that Mulder has ever believed about the existence of aliens and the government’s role in covering them up.
2 The X-Files - Founder's Mutation

3 The X-Files - Mulder & Scully Meet the Were-Monster
1/29/16
When a dead body is found in the woods, Mulder and Scully are called in to investigate whether it was an animal attack, a serial killer or just maybe a strange creature as described by eyewitnesses. Meanwhile, Mulder is able to confront some of his own demons about feeling disillusioned with his life's work.
4 The X-Files - Home Again

Mulder and Scully are sent to investigate the murder of a city official, which it seems no human could have committed. Meanwhile, Scully deals with deep feelings about the child she gave up for adoption.
5 The X-Files - Babylon

When an art gallery that’s showing potentially offensive artwork is bombed, Mulder and Scully seek some way to communicate with the comatose bomber in order to prevent a future attack. Meanwhile, a pair of younger FBI agents on the case push Mulder and Scully to examine their own beliefs as Scully seeks answers from neuroscience and Mulder from mysticism.
6 The X-Files - My Struggle II
1/21/16
The investigations that Mulder and Scully previously began with conspiracy theorist and web-TV show host Tad O’Malley seem to have awakened powerful enemies. A widespread panic begins as people all over the country suddenly start falling gravely ill, and Scully must look within to try and find a cure. The series is about on par with season 7 or 8, where there's about 1/3 normal episodes and 2/3 nonsense drama involving Scully. BUT, there's an extended Fox ad at the beginning of every episode where they plug other shows. Since ads in any form are unacceptable to me, paying for ads is beyond unacceptable. It also has an obnoxious Fox watermark that's always on the screen. Since there was no warning before I paid for this, it makes me hesitant to buy anything else off the Play Store, and I refuse to buy anything from Fox. To restate: PAYING FOR ADS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

im sorry to see that waiting fifteen years as a huge fan of the original series as a teen, i expected more from the integrity of the people involved, we see half ass attempts from each episode to bring back one episode of all the different types of shows from sarcastic intrigue, to abductions.. but if you are going to do this then do it proper,or until its acceptable material, the plotting and scripts are half baked.sadly

The mythology episodes are quite bad, in my opinion. The writers didn't seem to know where to take the show, and in some ways it takes away from the original 9 seasons and the movies. They made me angry, but I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was. However, episodes 3 and 4 may be some of the best, most entertaining and interesting episodes of the series ever. They are hilarious, thought-provoking, and they have clear messages. They hearken back to some of the best episodes from the original series, and in my opinion they make up for the story episodes. The ending (without any spoilers) left much to be desired, but with season 11 confirmed for later this year (2017), I'm positive they will take it somewhere better, and more interesting. In short, the mythology episodes get 2 stars, but the monster-of-the-week episodes get a 5 out of 5. Looking forward to the future of the series!
