At All Paws Clinic, a beloved dog and his devoted owner wait to hear whether a growth near his tail is cancerous, a horse comes in for acupuncture treatment and a tiny ferret undergoes a delicate surgery for bladder stones.

In Alaska’s backcountry, Dr. Oakley must castrate a yak bull named Drifter who isn’t taking to the anesthesia. Then, she has to carefully sedate an ailing lynx, with the challenge of a very distracting second cat nearby. Later, Dr. Oakley helps a 3-month-old puppy named Honey who was hit by a car and may need leg amputation and a friend’s adopted horse named Socks with a shocking deformity.

Meet Dr. Michelle Oakley, vet to pretty much everything that moves in the Yukon, making house calls across thousands of square miles, helping animals wild and domestic. Accompanied by her teenage daughters and armed with humor as sharp as a scalpel, Dr. Oakley deftly juggles being a full-time vet, wife, and mother, while taking us across some of the most rugged and remote landscapes in the world.

Great show. Love to learn about the care of animals in the Yukon and learning about musk ox. I wanted to know the brand of khaki pants you and Sierra wore in S9: E2..goodnight musk ox. Thanks

She is incredible and its awesome to see her visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Portage! It is an amazing place for the bears and wolves! Take good care of little Kobuk, the youngest black bear currently at the center!
