I stumbled upon Rescue Me about half way thru the first season, and still on FX. I raved about it from the start all the way thru the final episode. Smart, irreverent, funny and the polar opposite of PC. If you dig "dark" humor, you will love this series. I now own the entire catalog and still find things which kill me. Give it a chance, and you will not look back. One of the best shows ever produced.

Even Worcester would have been cool, but Leary placed the series in NYC which is strange for a Red Sox fan, but anyways it's a good show, but cheaper buying the dvd set

All that's left is to get season 1 up in HD, and then you can have all my money.
