Annie Matopoulos (Becki Newton, "Ugly Betty") is a young, single woman who has taken on an incredible task - serving as a surrogate for her sister. Jealous of the attention that Annie receives while being pregnant, her friend Cassie (Krysten Ritter "Breaking Bad") decides she must have a "story" as well, and decides to masquerade as a virgin to attract a man. Meanwhile, when Carter (Kyle Howard, "My Boys") is fired from his accounting job and comes home early, he finds his fiancée Liz (Lindsay Price, "Eastwick") in bed with a unique gift from her bachelorette party. Also, Judd Rouscher (Greg Grunberg, "Heroes") and his friend Bowman (Craig Robinson, "The Office") end up on a cross- country flight with Jennifer Love Hewitt ("Party of Five"), who is on Judd's "celebrity exemption list," allowing him sleep with her without marital consequences. When Judd ends up actually sitting next to her, he must decide what to do with this opportunity.

When Annie's (Becki Newton) friend Jodie (Michelle Trachtenberg, "Buffy The Vampire Slayer") bakes a banana bread for her new flame Charlie (Bret Harrison, "Reaper"), he feels threatened and tells her they should just be "friends." Suspecting it was the banana bread that scared him off, Jodie is livid and decides to be the best "friend" he ever had. Meanwhile, Ed (Kurtwood Smith, "That '70s Show") and Faye Strathmore (Frances Conroy, "Six Feet Under") visit their son Kyle (Stephen Rannazzisi, "Paul Blart: Mall Cop") and his boyfriend in Venice, California and Faye is on a mission to make sure that Ed keeps an open mind and is on his best behavior. Also, when Judd (Greg Grunberg) and Colleen (Constance Zimmer) meet over-the-top television sex therapist Dr. O (Jeffrey Tambor, "Arrested Development") at a party, he offers some suggestions about their love life that have disastrous results for the couple.

When Judd (Greg Grunberg) and his colleague Dan (Steve Talley) decide to crash a party, they get more than they bargained for when it becomes apparent that the cute host is having the party to say "goodbye" to her breast before a mastectomy. Meanwhile, Ricky (Donald Faison, "Scrubs") has developed a unique method for avoiding post-date responsibilities - secretly deleting his number from his dates' cell phones before slipping out the door. His system works beautifully until he meets Angie (Joy Bryant, "Parenthood"), an intriguing woman with a disappearing act of her own. Also, Annie (Becki Newton) gets set up on a date with Matt (Matt Winston, "Six Feet Under"), who has a creepy interest in her pregnancy - but it's another Matt (Matt Long, "The Deep End") who comes to her rescue and helps her maneuver an escape.

When she asks the less confident Josh (Vincent Martella, "Role Models") to the prom, his family and friends rush in with advice, warnings and even kissing lessons in preparation for the big date. Also, Colonel Scott Bowers (Eddie McClintock, "Warehouse 13") is in deep space when he suspects his girlfriend is cheating on him. With the help of a high-powered satellite and his colleagues, Captain Craig (Isaiah Mustafah, "Old Spice") and Takashi (Ken Jeong, "Community"), he is able to check on things back home. They find what they think is the perfect new house, until Colleen realizes that she was in the house years ago for a crazy weekend. Also, on a blissful vacation to Brazil, Julia Clark (Emily Rutherfurd, "The New Adventures of Old Christine") meets Marcelo (Cristian de la Fuente, "Private Practice"), a local who dazzles her with romance and passion. When Marcelo follows her home to Wichita, Kansas, she must choose between endless love in Brazil or that corner office she's so close to getting. Becki Newton also stars.

When Steffi gets a call that her father is in the hospital, Tommy finds he won't be making the clean getaway he planned. Their domestic bliss is quickly interrupted when they realize Charlie has a bedbug infestation, throwing a wrench in their "togetherness" plans. Meanwhile, when Judd deftly performs the Heimlich maneuver on their neighbor Kyle (Stephen Rannazzisi), everyone is relieved -- until Drew (Keegan-Michael Key) becomes upset that Kyle turned to Judd (Greg Grunberg) for help when he was choking. Also, "Matt" (Matt Long), who aided Annie (Becki Newton) in escaping from a bad date weeks earlier, can't stop thinking about her. He contemplates breaking it off with his longtime girlfriend Amanda (Jaime King) and following another chance meeting with Annie, becomes even more certain it's the right thing to do. Constance Zimmer also stars.

I like the show because it doesn't revolve around one story. There are different stories in each episode with different people that all intertwine in an entertaining way.
