Behind Bars: Rookie Year delves into the world of rookie corrections officers during their first year on the job in the Penitentiary of New Mexico, one of the most perilous prisons in America. Corrections departments have one of the highest dropout rates in the country, with nearly half of all rookies falling out before their one-year anniversary. The long hours, close proximity to unpredictable criminals, mind games and constant threat of bodily harm make it an intensely stressful career. Come follow a group of new recruits and see what it’s like to work on the inside.

I really love the show. It is funny to know, that people that watch thinks it's 100% real. People take reality shows as "reality" not as a show. It's a great show. Been there done that. It's only, maybe, about 40% accurate. Since its different state, and county that I live in. Different process so it might be more like 60% reality. We do not know

I finally got to really understand more on the difference between the activities that go on inside over there then here in California. It made me closer to my man ERIC SNUFF ALDAZ :-) I LOVE YOU BABY IM SO GLAD I GOT TO BE APART OF THIS WITH SO I COULD REALLY FULLY KNOW THE FEELINGS & EMOTIONS THAT YOUR GOING THROUGH IN THERE. XOXOXO I LOVE YOU BABY ALWAYS & FOREVER SNUFF!!!!

I appreciate seeing that some of them look at these prisoners as human beings and treat them with respect because some of them will be back in society and its better to give them the skills then to just lock them up like caged animals. We are all human, everyone makes mistakes and its better to give them treatment than not to. I appreciate what these guards do, its not easy. I hope there's more seasons to come.
