Set in 21st Century London, this thrilling, funny, fast-paced contemporary reimagining of the Arthur Conan Doyle classic features some of Sherlock Holmes' most famous adventures. Co-created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, Sherlock stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as his loyal friend, Doctor John Watson.

Staffel 4 hinterlässt leider einen faden Beigeschmack und kann an die hohe Qualität der ersten drei Staffeln nicht anschließen. Der Auftakt ist etwas zu Bond-esque für meinen Geschmack und wir verbringen 3/4 der Folge damit Mary's Vergangenheit aufzuräumen. Möglicherweise ein interessantes Thema für ein Spinoff, für mich erschien es jedoch fehl am Platz. "The Lying Detective" ist wohl die einzige Folge, die mit vorherigen Staffeln mithalten kann und ist mein persönliches Highlight. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass dies die einzige Episode ist in welcher der Fokus auf der Beziehung zwischen den Protagonisten liegt (wie in Staffel 1 - 3 und Doyle's Büchern) und Sherlock und John tatsächlich zusammenarbeiten. Alles in allem: spannender Fall, großartiger Bösewicht, und ausgezeichnete Dialoge. "The Final Problem" den Titel kann man wohl wörtlich nehmen. Gerade das von den Autoren so hoch gepriesene Staffelfinale enttäuscht mit schlechten Special Effects, unzähligen Logikfehlern, schwachem Skript, einem Retcon der bis zu "The Reichenbach Fall" zurückführt und fühlt sich im ganzen eher wie ein zweitklassiger Horror/Action Film an und hat mit der Serie wie ich sie kennen (und lieben) gelernt habe nicht mehr viel zu tun. Auch wenn die nette Montage am Ende von TFP wohl auf ein abgerundetes Ende hindeuten soll, wurden in diesen drei Folgen doch deutlich mehr Fragen aufgeworfen als letztlich beantwortet wurden. Zu guter letzt muss ich jedoch die Leistungen von Benedict Cumberbatch und Martin Freeman loben, die auf ein neues bewiesen haben, dass sie weltklasse Schauspieler sind und selbst aus den schwächeren Skripten noch das beste herausgeholt haben.

Ich liebe Sherlock Holmes die Serie ist einfach total cool mit Sherlock Holmes (Benedict cumberbatch)und John Watson (Martin Freeman)einer meiner Lieblings Serien ich wünsche mich so freuen wen eine neue Staffel kommen würde.

Was ist nur mit dieser Staffel passiert? Die Macher haben komplett vergessen was die Serie so toll gemacht hat... Das war nicht Sherlock, das waren verworrene plot twists, handlungsfehler, eine langweilige Story und kaum John-Sherlock duo Momente... wow echt entäuschend
