Season 1 episodes (13)

1 Pilot
7/11/10
Jim Longworth left the big city of Chicago after a run-in with his superiors there and now works for the Florida State Police. He was recently assigned to the smaller town of Sugarloaf to work with that city's police department. If you met Longworth, you would be struck by his humor and charm. It is this natural charisma and unassuming nature that makes witnesses calm enough to remember all the details and murder suspects comfortable enough to confess to him. In the pilot, the body of a woman is found in the river that runs through the Sugarloaf State Preserve. Based on his investigation, Longworth figures out that the unlikely killer is actually his partner on the police force. In series, by virtue of his position in the State Police, Longworth will encounter a wide array of cases and will always use his wit and charm as a tool to solve them - all the while searching for a new partner and nurturing a new relationship with Callie, a local nurse and her 10 year-old son.
2 Bird in the Hand
7/18/10
Jim Longworth takes Callie's son Jeff to a heavily-wooded area to collect bugs for a school science project. In the effort, they stumble upon an abandoned airplane with a dead body inside. The victim turns out to be a retired Special Ops guy who taught flight school on the side to make extra money--and seemingly had a great reputation. The trail leads Longworth to a sexy graduate student studying exotic birds, a rich and powerful drug dealer, and a pair of brothers who like joy-riding in airplanes, giving the Chicago P.D. transplant one complicated murder case.
3 A Perfect Storm
7/25/10
Longworth investigates a string of murders while Carlos and Daniel take extreme measures to save lives as a hurricane bears down on Florida.
4 Mucked Up
8/1/10
Jim is introduced to the intensely competitive world of high school football as the small town Pahokee prepares for the annual "Muck Bowl," an event that draws national attention because of the NFL players who have come from it. When the dead body of a business man emerges from the muck in a sugar cane field days before the big game, Longworth must figure out who would want the man dead. Pohokee's star player appears to be the most viable suspect. Colleen Manus warns Longworth not to cause a disturbance in Pahokee knowing this game means everything to the community. But Longworth is not going to let anything, not a little muck and certainly not a football game, stand in the way of getting the killer--or killers.
5 The Girlfriend Experience
8/8/10
Longworth gets a nightmarish call from Daniel that Carlos has been found dead. When Jim arrives at the scene he is stunned at the sight of the half-naked man shot dead, but not as much as the real Carlos is when he arrives. Carlos had been a victim of identity fraud. Longworth tracks the victim to his girlfriend, a grad student at Florida State who has many "modern relationships" and offers pay-as-you-go "girlfriend experiences."
6 Doppelganger
8/15/10
A head-trauma patient startles Callie when he says he saw a man who looked exactly like him--his doppelganger--commit a murder.
7 Cassadaga
8/22/10
Longworth and Carlos are called to the eerie town of Cassadaga, founded over 100 years ago by mediums and psychics, to investigate the murder of a psychic advisor. While trying to solve his murder, Longworth must rely on his own natural abilities to figure out who's telling the truth and who's covering up a violent act. A former medium helps Longworth in his investigation, but spooks him slightly when she warns him that someone close to him is about to die. Meanwhile, Callie's friend, Heather, invites Longworth to be her date at a party for Callie's medical school and he reluctantly accepts.
8 Marriage Is Murder
8/29/10
Jim Longworth's latest victim is a well-dressed burly man, who appears to have been shot, stabbed, and possibly poisoned. Clearly, a lot of people had it in for this guy, who Longworth learns was a ruthless divorce attorney with a passion for making money, lifting weights, and riding motorcycles. Additionally, a scared Jeff calls Longworth for help when he thinks he sees a suspicious man lurking around his house at night.
9 Honey
9/5/10
Jim Longworth's latest case sends him to the famed Native American-owned Blues Rock Casino, a high-end gambling establishment filled with millions of dollars of rock 'n' roll memorabilia. When the head of the casino, a tribal elder, crashes through a skylight and lands on a roulette table, Longworth must figure out who is behind her mysterious death. Was it suicide or foul play? Jim's first hurdle is getting the smart and sexy Josie Tigertail, a tribal police officer, to allow the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to run point on the investigation. Meanwhile, Callie convinces herself she just wants to be friends with Longworth, but then is surprised when feelings of jealousy overtake her upon seeing Longworth interact with Josie.
10 Second Chance
9/12/10
A dead man in a swimming pool leads Longworth and Carlos to a Pompano Beach mansion, and then into the world of high-end horse breeding. Callie, who was once an aspiring jockey, becomes Longworth's secret weapon in the case as she shows him the ins and outs of this competitive and cut-throat world. Callie shows Jim a side of her he's never seen and the two grow closer than ever before.
11 Booty
9/19/10
A famed treasure-hunter is murdered, and the attention is immediately turned to the victim's famous uncle Big Jack Hasker, a legendary treasure hunter and adventurer. Longworth dives into this world of treasure hunting and discovers the victim was hot on the trail to uncovering the mythic Spanish ship, the Magdalena, which is believed to contain billions of dollars of booty. If Longworth can figure out whether or not the victim was actually close to uncovering the prize, maybe he will be able to find the real killer. While working the case, Longworth discovers Callie's passion for treasure hunting lore and guided by her passion and expertise, the two embark on an adventure that could change their lives forever.
12 Exposed
9/26/10
Longworth is called to a hotel to investigate the mysterious death of a beautiful young girl. It turns out that the dead girl was having an affair with a prominent Florida State Senator. When the senator's wife gets involved, things get really ugly as she is from a Kennedy-esque political family and will stop at nothing to clear her family's name and promote her husband's political career.
13 Breaking 80
10/3/10
A couple's golf game comes to a screeching halt when they stumble upon a dead body along the fairway. Doug, the victim, was the caddy and life-long friend of professional golfer Scott Winters, and was also recently released from prison after attempting to date-rape a professional female golfer. Things aren't adding up for Longworth as he investigates all the key players and discovers the victim may have served time for a crime he didn't commit. All the time on the golf course motivates Longworth to commit to finally breaking 80 on the greens. Meanwhile, Heather tempts Longworth with her grandmother's secret lasagna recipe and Callie stews over their relationship. Intern Daniel asks for a promotion.

This is one of my favorites! This is a perfect tv show with enough, action, drama, and silliness to make it perfect! My dad and I used to watch this show together but now that they canceled it we don't watch it much anymore. A&E needs to bring it back.

Well done!!! Best series I watched in a long time. Was shocked to find out at the end there was a cliffhanger. After researching as to why the series was left with a cliffhanger, I have to say there is one stupid person running A&E. I would really like to see an ending to this series someday soon.
