About this show

Nina, a dedicated, career-driven corporate attorney has a very public meltdown after getting passed over for an expected promotion and finds herself practicing down and dirty law in the only place that will hire her—the Public Defender’s office. A fish out of bottled water, Nina has to learn the difference between book smarts vs. people smarts in order to win her cases. Although her life is turned upside down by her sudden career downgrade, Nina tenaciously fights for her off-center clients, with weekly cases ranging from silly to surreal.

Eliza Coupe has great delivery and the cast(including one of my favorite comics Maria Bamford) is really engaging. Hopeful it will be renewed-

Funny show. It doesn't fill the void left by Happy Endings. I wish both shows were still in production.
