I used to consider this the gold standard but it's become frustrating using it lately. It used to scan fast, and was efficient , but now it stops the scanner for updates even after I JUST downloaded them before starting a scan. The scans are slow taking nearly all day to finish slowing the phone down and draining the battery. I took screenshots. it gives me a "oops" error message and another saying I have an update needed from april 06 it's getting to a point that I'm going to uninstall it

This thing is a resource hog. It scans the same files over and over- every installed app. Everything each time. Can't you guys use a checksum or some sort of process to an incremental scan on only what's changed? Maybe last install date greater than last scan date? Something. Edit: for the developer response. The resource hog is the scan. It scans all applications whether they are newly installed or not. Whether the actual file changed or not. My phone get very hot and battery drops

Unfortunately have to leave a negative review due to some malicious UI choices that railroad the user into trialing premium plans. If you just need a quick malware scan, click "explore features" upon reaching the paid plans prompt - despite the bizarre name, it'll take you to the rest of the app as normal. That being said, it's still Malwarebytes. As long as you block notifications and stay on the free plan, you'll still have a very servicable on-command malware scanner on your hands.
