Badge guidelines

Dos & Don'ts

Follow these guidelines whenever you are using a Google Play Music badge.

The use of the Google Play and Google Play Music badges together is prohibited.
Use the badge as provided. Do not modify it in any way. The border is part of the design and should not be removed.
Use only one Google Play Music badge in your layout or video. Place the badge below or to the right of the images and copy promoting your content. Keep the badge smaller than your other images and main message. Don’t make it the dominant artwork.
There must be clear space surrounding the badge equal to one-quarter the height of the badge.
The badge should have a minimum size of 40 pixels on the Web or 10mm on print materials.
Badges must be shown on a solid colored background or a simple background image that does not obscure the badge.
Any online use of the badge must link to the Google Play Music app or website. Use the generator below to get the HTML to include in your digital marketing.
Include the appropriate Google Play legal attribution when there is space in the creative. See the badge generator for localized legal attributions.
Use of the Google Play badge must be reviewed and approved by the Google Play Partner Brand team if the badge will be in:
- a TV commercial
- an out-of-home marketing campaign
- a marketing campaign that will receive over 1 million impressions
