Reconciling Consciousness and Capitalism with Mateo Blumer | POP 7 - Persons of Presence
Mateo Blumer is an investment advisor, entrepreneur, and "impact" or "generative" investor, as well as the founder and CEO of Solidarity Capital. Also a lifelong writer, spiritual exploration enthusiast, and wayshower of the New Science, Mateo straddles two seemingly-opposing worlds: those of capitalism and the business of money, and the world of spirituality, self-discovery, and the understanding of the power of human consciousness.
In this episode we discuss his own radical evolution in which his definition of success transformed from that of the possession of money, power, and identity to consciousness, compassion, and congruence. His path down the rabbit hole began on Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson's privately owned British Virgin Island, where Mateo was leading a discussion on "The Future of Investing". This is when universal intelligence, by way of novel characters and abundant synchronicities, invoked upon him a taste for a new way of living and level of open awareness from which he has never turned back. Since then Mateo has worked to integrate his own spiritual understanding in a less-than-conscious industry largely operating in the patterns and principles of "old capitalism".
