Game variations

Beyond classic Sudoku, Andoku Sudoku 3 includes a wide range of variants. Each adds extra regions that must also contain the digits 1 to 9:
• X Sudoku — the two main diagonals
• Hyper Sudoku — four extra inner boxes
• Percent Sudoku — two extra boxes and a diagonal, arranged like a "%" sign
• Center Dot Sudoku — the center cell of every box
• Asterisk Sudoku — nine cells in a star pattern
• Color Sudoku — nine colored groups of cells

Every variant is also available as a Jigsaw Sudoku, where the nine 3×3 boxes are replaced by irregularly shaped regions — for an extra challenge.

Tutorials

Andoku Sudoku 3 comes with tutorials that teach you a wide range of solving techniques. Using real game situations, they walk you through each technique step by step.

The techniques are ordered by difficulty, from very simple (Introduction, Hidden Single) all the way to advanced (XY-Chain, Sashimi Swordfish).
