This app is pointless. I bought a netgear switch, the installation guide specifically told me to download this app to configure it. I did, at which point the app forced me to register before I could do anything, and then tried to trick me into buying a subscription that I didn't need, and THEN couldn't even manage the switch, instead directing me to the web UI. To which the in the app link was broken, and I had to navigate to by typing the IP anyway. What a waste of time.

I received this machine as a gift, brand new, years ago, and still have never been able to get it to work. Account is set up, connected to internet, can access it through phone, but that's it. No way to save anything, which is the most important part of the Netgear drive..."The saving".

To use the app, an account is required. I don't need an account for communication or tracing the list of products registered. There are plenty of options to notify me. Besides: I know what I bought, and paid big money for it too!! Why can't I skip account creation and signing in? Why didn't it say so on the app page? It seems like every single company wants my personal information, and netgear is just one of them.
