Accept every way your customers want to pay.
• Credit card payments: Accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and rewards cards — all credit cards at the same rate. Take credit card payments over the phone using your computer as a virtual point of sale terminal.
• Contactless payments: Let customers pay with Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Cash App Pay. Accept contactless cards and digital wallets with Tap to Pay.
• Gift cards: Differentiate payment with gift cards integrated into your POS system and Square Dashboard.
• Invoices: Send custom invoices straight from your POS on a mobile device or from your laptop right to your customers’ inboxes with the Square Point of Sale app.
• Transfers: Access funds after a sale with Square Checking, transfer funds to your external bank account instantly for a fee, or get transfers free in one to two business days.
• Refunds: Process refunds for payments directly from your POS system or your online Square Dashboard.
2.6% +10¢ PER TAP, DIP, SCAN, OR SWIPE. Charge $100 in a single transaction and see $97.30 in your bank account. Accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express, all credit cards at the same rate. Invoices are free to send and cost 2.9% + 30¢ per invoice paid online.

Checkout
Customize your checkout with item categories, modifiers, add-ons, or special requests to keep your line moving and your customers happy.

• Use Register or wirelessly connect Terminal to any device running your Square POS. With a separate checkout screen, customers can see their itemized cart and pay quickly, all from a safe distance.

• Refund specific items from a transaction. The amount being refunded will reflect any applicable taxes and discounts for the selected item(s).

Transactions
• Accept swiped card payments when your internet service is temporarily unavailable. Offline payments are processed automatically when your device regains connectivity and will expire if not processed within 72 hours.
• Take contactless payments via Tap to Pay.
• Provide customers with digital or printed receipts.
• Let your customers split a bill or use multiple forms of tender to complete payment.

Have used square for several years with zero issues. In fact, have recommended it to others. In the last month it has been awful. Constantly trying to reconnect, stops transmitting after every sale. I have cleared cache, restarted, redownloaded, etc with the same poor service. With so many people on here commenting the same issue I'm confused WHY it hasn't been addressed. Do better.

There was an outage today around 1:30pm and I received no notifications about it. I had a sale around that time, the app said the transaction was approved using the square reader, it prompted me to send a receipt, It then had a prompt that said the receipt was sent. I noticed a little later that the transactions weren't showing on my history, I reached out and then got an automated notice that square was having issues. No one was available to talk to chat or phone. I now use a backup company.

WENT FROM 5 STARS TO 1. Multiple people are having the same server connection issuse. Nothing but problems as of recently out if no where. UNDERSTAND THIS ITS MULTIPLE PEOPLE IN MULTIPLE DEVICES. I have the same issues on 2 different phones with 2 different card readers. Apps have been removed and reinstalled Multiple times along with the card readers. DO BETTER. GET IT TOGETHER.
