App regularly crashes after sending a message, keeps trying to debug itself and looks for something call Facebook Stella, even though I don't have a FB account and never linked to such. Have to keep this app for a few friends, but might just put it in a separate Android user profile and forget about it except when needed.

I used to love WhatsApp even back when it had a subscription cost of a dollar per year. I had no problem paying for it back then because it was so amazing! Nowadays , it's chock full of little features that are geared towards dumbing down our society even more. We don't need AI thinking for us and we definitely don't need it integrated into a messaging system. And I don't need little stickers flashing where my keyboard swap button sits when I'm trying to go back to keyboard from emoji's.

Ok for basic free communication(calls & texting) but the app does this annoying possibly illegal thing in the background. It seems to randomly download "backup" files to my phones file app without my permission which aren't even backup files. They're just statistic files that track your shopping & browsing data which should be considered an illegal privacy invasion & has nothing to do with actual backup data which the app does simply by signing in anyway & there's no way to disable it.

What’s new
• You can now choose to share recent group history with new members when you add them to a group • Group calls now include the ability to transfer calls between mobile and desktop, add a waiting room for call links, and pin a participant to a bigger tile.
These features will roll out over the coming weeks. Thanks for using WhatsApp!
