About this app

Store your unique credential on a hardware-backed security key and take it wherever you go from mobile to desktop. No more storing sensitive secrets on your mobile phone, leaving your account vulnerable to takeovers. With the Yubico Authenticator you can raise the bar for security.

• The Yubico Authenticator will work with any USB or NFC-enabled YubiKeys

The Yubico Authenticator securely generates a code used to verify your identity as you are logging into various services. No connectivity needed!

Features include:

Portable – Get the same set of codes across our other Yubico Authenticator apps for desktops as well as for all leading mobile platforms
Flexible – Support for time-based and counter-based code generation
USB or NFC usage – Insert the YubiKey into the USB port, or simply tap the YubiKey with NFC to a mobile phone that is NFC-enabled to store your credential on the YubiKey
Easy Setup – QR codes available from the services you wish to protect with strong authentication
User Presence – Require a touch on the YubiKey sensor, or an extra NFC tap, to generate new codes for sensitive accounts
Compatible – Secure all the services currently compatible with other Authenticator apps

Well at first I was angry because it wouldn't work on my Samsung S25 but then I disabled OTP and it works...next problem is the NFC issue but at least it works. Honestly this is really just Google and Samsung's fault for not cooperating. Edit: Okay I figured it out. I need to make a USB passkey first, then USB U2F, then a NFC U2F. I just noticed the toggles in the app Home tab top right too as I wrote this...that would have been useful to know! Particular but I'm happy I did it 🄲

A great, open-source authenticator from a company focused on security and privacy. This app is non-invasive (requiring minimal permissions, only Camera for QR codes and NFC). Made to work for the physical key and is all done on the device, It is simple and does its job as intended, with no unnecessary features or advertisements. Highly recommended for its transparency and simplicity.

Got 2 one as a spare, waste of $s. Does not work on my phones, (Android - 13 OS),or Apple iPhone. When plugged into USB on Samsung ph, Keyboard disappears. Support say OS is the problem on Both phonesĀæ. Any Free authenticator app, works on both so it's the 5ci key which is bad, NFC is not seen , on either Ph: Save your Time & Money: Support is a Joke; AVIOD, Use any of the Many free app for your Wallet instead:šŸš«šŸ—‘
