About this app

luca digitalize processes for guests and operators in the gastronomy. It eases use in the gastronomy and shows the location provided website and menu cards. In the current pandemic situation the participating health departments have deactivated the contact data sharing functionality in this version.

luca is also used to show your COVID status. The app can be used with the area of Germany.

Import of vaccination and test results
To facilitate access to locations, it is possible to import and display vaccination and test results into luca. Information about the documents is only stored locally.

Digital Menu Cards
To reduce contacts the luca provides features to show and display relevant information from restaurants like menu cards.

I had to keep up with this app during the pandemic in Germany, Now after it's essentially become entirely obsolete (for the common user), I wanted to delete my account and uninstall the app. But believe it or not, of course there had to be something broken with that. Trying to delete your account in the app just results in an error message: "HTTP 404 Not Found" And when then trying to contact support via the "Support" button within the menu, it just generated a useless message template, but doesn't even tell you where to send it to or give you any other way to contact support. So many things wrong with either is beyond amusing anymore!

The concept is good but the implementation poor. I installed it. To use it I have to tick 2 boxes. Touching the 2nd box causes the data protection declaration to open. Scrolling to the end of the text there is no means of accepting the declaration. Going back to the previous page, the 2nd box is still not ticked. Touching the 2nd box opens the declaration . . . and so it goes on.

Awful. Definitely the worst app I've come across. Doesn't work at all well, and when it doesn't, it absolutely freezes. It also tells you in a commandeering tone what you're not allowed to do (e.g. check out after only a short while). It is absolutely insistent you follow all their orders. Words fail as to how objectionable it is. Zero stars.
