FireFox is the only browser I Trust😎 Hate the way Chrome is made & I don't trust Chrome because Google makes it. The Mozilla Foundation is a nonprofit organization meaning their main goal is not about putting more money in their pockets like Google is. Remember people Google has one goal & will only one goal in mind & that is to make more money of off your data.
Like some other users.. i really wanted to love Firefox for Android.. i don t want to use Chrome as i detach of all things big Google brother and i use Firefox on desktop. But this app is really too slow. And no ad blocking ? Come on .. even Opera mini does it ! And why no addons like Dolphin ?

So slow I have walked to my laptop and got the page opened and and read before Firefox mobile opened the same page.. uninstalling again. Not really sure what the problem is, but Chrome is 10 times faster, and vs speed is king in the interwebs

This new version still has that simplified look and feel; funny beta still has that beautifully, gorgeous, powerful, previous GUI. So guess this "improved" GUI is here to stay. Firefox has some things going for it. They could have upgraded the engine without upgrading to this gui. I think however I'll be waiting for Vivaldi for Android to take back power users control. If Vivaldi is like anything on the desktop with users powerful interface I'll wait this thing out for now (No matter how painful at times this new Firefox thing is to look at for me). Another Update: The simplified new Millennials edition is not too bad I guess. Like everything else that Millennials touch have to get used to it. Nevermind I'm starting to like it a little bit now. Sorry Firefox about before.

I really wanted to like this newer version of Firefox, I really did. In Linux it runs faster and it's amazing! In Android it's a disaster. The loading times for all tabs are tediously long, to the point of leaving the browser useless. There has been two updates since the first release, and still the same problem. The only suggestion online is "change to the beta version", eh.

I would use it, but it sometimes hangs. Here is what happens. I open a page in Firefox, the loader comes at 20% I wait 10sec, I get annoyed cause nothing is loading, just a white screen, the loader is still at 20%, than I open chrome, type the same address, it open it instantly, than I open Firefox again, still nothing has loaded. Sometimes I have to close the app, just to get the search going to work. Make it relaible so when I search I actually get something quickly, not a white screen to look for 15sec

The update description says there's a click-to-view images feature in Advanced Settings but I don't see it. I only have Always, Only over Wi-fi, and Blocked. The app also crashes with annoying regularity.
New "style", or lack thereof, is hidious. Give us an option to change back. It's also terribly slow. Pages load at less than half the speed as Chrome does. Even after more updates claiming performance improvements it still runs hideously slow.
This is a terrible browser, clunky slow, can't even increase the text size without some add on. Also no exit button is a bloody stupid design. Firefox for pc is great, but this mobile version sucks so hard.
Newest update shows just upper left corner of web page about 30% of the time. 1) super slow page loading 2) Crashes and freezes all the time on Huawei Mate 8 running Android 7
I am a 100 % Firefox supporter as it is the "Most Trusted Internet Company for Privacy". But I encounter many freezing, hanging issues with my old Samsung S4 mini. Do I have to buy a brand new smartphone every 6 months to use it ?
Worked absolutely great until recently. This version does not load pages in a timely manner on unrestricted wifi, nor when I try do I receive the confirmation email to set up sync. Could be a five star app if it weren't recently broken.
Terrible update that gives users an overly cluttered home screen, huge buttons on the top navigation bar that eat up screen real estate, no double-tap to zoom feature, and just a very, VERY poor design overall. It's a massive failure. I hated the latest update on PC too...so much so that I wound up reverting to an older version. Gone are the days when Firefox used to be simple, clean, lightweight, and free of all of this garbage. Likely too many cooks in the kitchen. Seriously, a great example of if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I got this app because I wasn't able to upload anything to Facebook using Chrome and I hate that stupid FB app. This works great and yes I know I should just get the hell off FB but it does help me to stay in touch with old friends and family members that I don't want to see.
Pages are lagging when loading, to the point of almost freezing, also I do not like that the android status bar is always present, it was better in the older version. I definitely don't like the grayish white color, wish I could customize it.
I love Firefox and use it on every device I own. Up until one of the last updates, there were no problems I had with this app. However, now that the browser changes my notification bar to a solid white, I can't see any of my icons or read any notifications without pulling the notification bar down. It's extremely frustrating. At least give us the option to change the color because this is just poor design.
Ever since Firefox 57, the browser has been horribly laggy. Firefox frequently has to stop to rearrange things in memory, and it's often faster to just forcibly crash the browser. Helpfully, the browser crashes on its own fairly often. It's almost not even worth using despite the ad blocker support.
Like many Firefox users, I'm here because I don't like the way Google hordes user data for its own nefarious purposes (If you still trust Google, check out some of the things they've been prosecuted for). But I do love a non-profit. Unfortunately, Firefox is just too slow on mobile currently, so to avoid chrome, I will be switching to opera.
This is very slow. 10 time slower than Chrome, edge and Opera. What info are you collecting each time I open this? Whoever uploads some app about running rats first wants permission to know our identity! Wish Google modified android so we could only accept related permissions and rejected the rest. Well Google did it!
Best browser on Windows or Mac. Worst browser on Android. Initial page loading is at least 20x slower than every other browser or internet based app. Seems fine once it gets going. Unfortunately stuck with it for a seamless user experience across platforms. I don't know why it sucks so bad on Android in contrast with the other platforms. Seriously considering ditching the browser altogether on all platforms and going back to Chrome. Ridiculous!
A bit awkward... But it helps me stay synchronised on the go. For me it's a keeper, let's just hope they'll polish it a bit in the near future.
I just switched from Chrome, the default and only browser on my HTC 10. I was tired of the ad and pop-up ridden browser. Sometimes as many as 4 huge blocks of flash ads on a page...some even took me off what I had opened unto an entire ad page. It is bad! This is unacceptable from Google. Now on Firefox and I couldn't be happier and snappier in my browsing. The ad-ons are terrific!! This is the Firefox I loved some years back...now back!! Update: when are you implementing the bookmark folders/manager on the new Firefox? I can only get that functionality on the Nightly. I've had to go back to Chrome because of this.
A little slow but over all a pretty good browser. Code needs to be totally rewritten to compress wasted space to make the app smaller & more efficient. Needs download progress indicator pop-up and directional folder selection for the download. Needs folder support for favorites so you could category sort bookmarks better. Would give 5 stars for the above mentioned. Still much better then Chrome in my openion.
It's k, but needs optimizations. Speed, random crashes, memory management. Dunno what HQ thinks, but not all people here have latest Sony smartphone monsters. UPD: it's getting better. Less crashes, addons are displaying options as intended. Faster page rendering.
Since the new update, the pages load terribly slow. Takes around 30 sec to load a page. Never had this problem before with firefox
Mozilla, with the crashing again? come on. Also sometimes instead of crashing the browser just stops working. like you can type in the url bar and switch tabs but nothing loads. but the last browser did that too. Other times the Bookmarks, History, etc. folders don't show up when you click the url bar. Also, somerimes even when the folders do open, holding down on a url in the history only shows the delete option and not the open in new tab optipn and stuff. There is no way to stop open tabs from connecting in the background unless you close them, which sucks up battery in the background and if you turn background data off to prevent that, files can no longer be downloadex in the background either. Inconvenient. But most of all, the crashing. what am I supposed to do, use chrome with its pathetic excuse for an add-on collection? Speaking of add-ons, quantum killed all my add-ons. Not even mad, mozilla. Just disappointed.
After it's big total overhaul along with desktops "quantum" (was it?), the thing is now a massive RAM hog on my phone. Slows down, lags, even becomes unresponsive. Guess Chrome is winning again....sigh. I cannot stick with FF every time I try it again!
In the new version it has a lot of problem and low safety . Also it's setting not user control. have much lag and ....
Last few updates seem to have slowed it down. Done all the obvious uninstall reinstall and clear cache type things. Just out right slow now a days across multiple OSs including Linux, Ios, and Windows 10. Long time supporter, sad to have to use another browser 😐
Froze, lagged, pretty much destroyed my phone. Wouldn't let me click, drained battery and really....just pissed me off.
Needs a full screen view for better reading experience. I'm a student and spend lot of time reading tutorials and slides. The address bar on the top of the page is kind of annoying when I'm reading something.
I've uninstalled because Firefox has become extremely slow when opening pages. It is also very hungry on resources. I'm trying Vivaldi now. Fast and easy, meets my basic browsing needs.
Lacks very important mobile bookmarks organization and although it's supposed to be faster now it is actually even slower. It is so slow that I just give up, close it and reopen links using Chrome. ☹️
(3.5 stars) It's helpful with those PITA highly nitpicky websites that won't work properly with anything but the top 3 or so most common browsers, since it's in the top 3. I like the inclusion of anti-tracking features, not so many have that. However, following the initial version I installed, it has instability issues, Android system complains about overtaxing the battery/errors, is unresponsive/crashes. No updates have made any improvement to these problems.
This is not the firefox I've come to know for the last 10 years and on my pc. Aas aesthetically pleasing as it maybe, it is hideously slow. I agree with several other users attesting to similar comments. It takes forever to load pages. Went back to chrome for now. Firefox devs: improve the rendering/loading performance or lose me as a user
Talent free browser. Success or failure of such starts with cipher suite as well as information about certificate chain. This browser tells you its secure but there is no info about the chain at finger tips. Reminds me of seattle library user agents. Dont do any commerce with this browser.
Previously used Opera mini for data savings, but that thing got infested with ads. Then I switched to Firefox and I'm glad i made the switch. Never going back. Firefox is the best!
Current version is hideously slow to load pages. I thought there was something wrong with my internet connection. Chrome loading sites perfectly fine. I also turned off all add-ons. Doesn't make a difference.
Recently all sites started loading slower. The same works fine on native and chrome browser. I don't understand this. Is this Firefox or provider discriminating based on user agents.
Firefox what have you done?!!!. The new look is hideous. The app keeps downloading news articles that I don't need. I can't add the Quitnow add on. This is stupid. I loved Firefox before now I regret updating it. I wish I could roll back the update. To anybody who is planning on updating this app, if you value the app, DO NOT UPDATE IT!!!
