The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app has been created to help our UK customers with their everyday banking on the go. Download it today and you can:

How to log on to Mobile Banking
• If you’re registered for HSBC Online Banking, you can use your existing details
• If you’re not yet registered, simply download the app, then select ‘Register now’.

Send money
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you send money to family or friends using their account details. Pay bills with pre-populated bank details for hundreds of major businesses. And instantly transfer money between your personal accounts.
 
Mobile statements
With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app, you can securely access your current account, savings and credit card statements.
 
Mobile cheque deposits
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you pay in cheques without going to a branch by selecting the account, entering the value then scanning the front and back of the cheque. Please keep any cheques until they show in your account. You can pay in one or more cheques up to a limit of £2,000 per day. Cheques deposited before 10pm on a working day will be available by 11:59pm the next working day.
 
Freeze your card
Ever lost your card, only for it to turn up the moment you cancelled it? With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app, you can place a temporary block on your card with just a few taps. It will stay blocked until you unblock it, or it can be reported as lost or stolen.
 
Chat with us
Need help or assistance? Select the ‘Start chat’ window on the home screen or tap 'Chat with us' in the ‘Library’. If you have push notifications enabled for the HSBC Mobile Banking app, we’ll send you an alert when we reply. 
 
Gambling restriction
You can choose to restrict transactions made to gambling businesses, such as casinos and online betting companies, and recurring transactions such as The Postcode Lottery. The block only applies to individual cards held in your name.

I have no problem paying into my account but as soon as I try to make a large payment out I encounter all sorts of errors, app freezes, paused payments etc which has cost me a lot in lost interest. This is despite being a "Premier" customer and informing them in advance that I will be making the payments. I have wasted so much time on the phone to the fraud department already and my payments are still stuck

with every update this app keeps getting worse. when you want to log in, you have to wait 30 -60 seconds. it is loading and loading... forever. it is so slow. I had few issues recently with online purchases where I had to open app to confirm the payment, it took ages to load, to the point I almost ran out of time on confirmation, then proceeded to state there's error and transaction cannot be processed. I had to use other card. Rubbish! Fix the bugs!

Pretty good. Sometimes server is unavailable, but I think that's the bank rather than the app. EDIT: loads of trouble with this app recently. Just not responding. Tried checking for updates and reinstalling, but nothing seems to work. I can conduct any basic banking online at the moment. NEW EDIT: Just discovered I'm only allowed this app on 3 devices. What If I need access on more than that? They want me to go through the drawn out process of phoning the call centre. It's just unnecessary.
