Pointless app, just tells me the name of my product, nothing else. Additionally, the app needs your location, not sure why other than to track me, as soon as I scanned an item, I could see that my data was being used. There is no information about this as far as I can see, so maybe it's just analytics for them to see how often the app is used, alternatively they like spying on us, who knows... Uninstalled.

I got it to work once. I had to have the camera app open, center the qr code, have it in focus, then quickly open the transparency app. There's only a split second at start up when it's scanning, the rest of the time the ui is greying out the scanning part and giving you language options and a page with learn more about the app. From that page you can also switch back to scanning by camera icon, for a split second. That said the info shown after scanning was just what Amazon listed already.

This app has about 3 purposes: 1. It's needed for shopping at Amazon reseller bin stores. Boxes that aren't labeled beyond the QR code don't always show up when scanned with the Amazon app like they should, so people have to use this to see what's in the box. 2. Amazon Vine reviewers could use this rather than writing on the boxes of items they plan on reselling after the required 6-month wait. 3. People who work in an Amazon warehouse or bin store. I don't think anyone else needs this app.
