4 Desktop versions and an Android update and sounds are pretty much fixed finally. BUT push alerts are still hit and miss. Some are fast, others take minutes or longer. Or never show up. Changing priority from normal to high doesn't change that either. Annoying to pay for this app in addition to the desktop version for something crucial like timely alerts thst do not work properly. I paid for the maintenance contract. Anyone who didn't is now SOL, and won't get updates to a fixed version.

I've been using this app for over a year and have found it works really well. It has its issues, but so does every other app ever made. The performance of this app depends on your settings, internet/network quality, Blue Iris PC performance, phone performance and your settings in app and on the PC. Using a slow PC, over dodgy wifi or 3G, with an android A7 and all settings on max resolution and bitrate isn't going to be a great experience for you. Tweek your settings to match your setup.

I love Blue Iris and when this app is working, it is exceptional. The problem is that is rarely works. I know its not by back-end video server. I can patch into it using the web interface with ease and without fail every time. I know its not my phone. I have the latest Samsung every year. With this app, it works intermittently. Sometimes I receive snapshots of alerts, most of the time I don't. Connecting from notifications is useless. It almost never works. I have to disconnect, reconnect to get it to work again. I would be helping friends and family get onto the Blue Iris System if the mobile app worked better. I have been using it for almost 2 years and it just seems to be getting worse not better.
