Digital democracy is a new step in ensuring democratic processes in the community. "Public matter" is a platform that was created with the aim of creating a new form of participation in democratic decision-making in politics.
With a detailed approach to the processing of results, "Public Matters" allows the decision-maker to base his decisions on timely and realistic information, while the ease of voting allows voters to express their opinion anytime and anywhere, via a mobile or web application.

The application "Javna stvar - Zaprešić" enables Zaprešić residents to participate in political decision-making on selected topics, while it allows the city to ask residents for their opinion before making decisions.

Voters' votes are anonymous, that is, there is no possibility to connect the vote with the voter's identity. All voter data is secured and their collection and storage complies with GDPR standards. The procedure is structured in such a way that no conclusions can be drawn about whether a person participated and how he answered the questions.

Voting is possible directly via a smartphone or via a web browser. The registration process is simple, and once the city approves the registration, the user will be able to vote.
The results of the voting are published in the application after the survey is completed, and they provide the city of Zaprešić with important information on whether it is acting in the interests of its residents.

In addition to the possibility of voting, the platform offers the possibility of continuously and properly informing citizens about events and decisions related to the city, which ensures easy communication with citizens and the accuracy of the information that citizens receive.
