Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (PGRM), more commonly known as ‘Gerakan’ in Malaysia was founded on 24 March 1968.
The Malaysian People's Movement Party is one of the political parties of the former constituents of the Barisan Nasional coalition.
The Central SME Development Bureau is among PGRM’s many working committees, which collects and sends any relevant business information to its members.
Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SME) make up the majority of PGRM’s members (as well as in many other trade organizations) in the country.
SMEs play a great role in generating employment and business activities in national development.
PGRM has since 1970’s helped raise the competitiveness of SMEs, to meet the challenges of an ever changing national and international social, economic and political environment.
The bureau also encourage and assist small and medium size enterprise development bureaus/committees to be set up at state or division levels around Malaysia, and have their own action plan, and coordinate with counterparts and PGRM HQ.
PGRM Central SME Development Bureau will have activities which will promote comradeship, awareness or issues affecting SMEs, Marketing Opportunities, Self Improvement sessions.
