This app - Electricity Bill calculator (eb500) - aims to help users track and reduce their budget spending and keep a tab on their spending unaware.

On the beta of the app, consumers of the the following states / providers can estimate their upcoming electricity bill
- Tamil Nadu (TNEB)
- Kerala (KSEB)
- Telangana (TSSPDCL, TSCPDCL, TSNPDCL)
- Haryana (DHBVN, UHBVN)

REDUCE ELECTRICITY BILL
- take reading via this app every week or periodically and track the consumption, so that you can reduce the bill amount

PRELOADED TARIFFS
- you don't have to manually enter tariff or rate card. Currently available for TNEB, KSEB, TSSPDCL, TSCPDCL, TSNPDCL, DHBVN, UHBVN
The tariffs are taken from official websites of TNEB, KSEB and respective state electricity department websites. Up to date as of Dec 2023

SAVINGS TABLE
- find out how much you can save in your next month electricity bill if you start reducing your consumption from today

CHARTS
- charts are useful to know how your consumption trend is going, whether rising or falling or if it's steady.

SET SAVINGS GOAL
- you can set goal of 500 units every 2 months or so (TNEB and other states have has a slab based tariff) and above 500 units, the final bill amount increases significantly

ELECTRICITY SAVING TIPS
- Get recommendations about energy saving products, energy monitors

INTERESTING FACT:
Some states in India follow a non-telescopic tariff (rate card), that provide significant savings or loss when your consumption crosses a particular limit.
For e.g. Tamil Nadu (TNEB) has a tariff structure, where when consumption crosses 500 units per cycle, the final bill amount spikes by 13%.
If the consumption is closely tracked, consumers can save BIG on their budget
