I love the app! The price was best on the app and the trip section is great for organizing your destination, hotel, and activities. I'll definitely be using Orbitz for all my travel.
Orbitz never informed me that they only hold the airline tickets for you and that you are responsible for purchasing them. When I arrived at the airport the airlines had no tickets for me, even though I had a confirmation from Orbitz with a whole itinerary. I paid for the trip, but wasn't able to go thanks for nothing Orbitz. I never use this app again, beware.
Booked a rental car. When arrived at airport, no cars available. Promised a $60 credit toward another rental. Still have no credit plus new rental charged nearly quadruple the rate. Cancelling Orbits account and will book directly from now on. Lost any savings over the years on this one botched booking.
Extremely disappointed with Holiday Inn in Topeka, KS on Mothers Day 2017 😢 I drove all day & was SO looking forward to a nice, warm evening swim upon arrival. Instead I was greeted with a pink sign posted at the front desk saying the pool is "Currently Under Construction" I just wish they would have been honest & posted this on their listing on the Orbitz app. It was the #1 thing I was looking forward to on Mothers Day. I guess I paid $127 to just sleep since I am not a tv watcher..kind of a bummer on Mothers Day 😓😭😓😭😓😭😓😭😓😭😓😭😓
The app itself has many bugs but the worst part was getting to my hotel and the hotel having to call Orbitz to verify something! Was on hold with them for say to long!
I'm extremely frustrated with the app, site and customer support. I tried for 2 days to book a flight. Every time I went to confirm, it came back that the price had been lowered, so I went to confirm and it gives me an error saying there is an issue with my card. I contacted my card carrier and tried another card and still same error. Contacted online support and was told to check things on my card info, did that yet again and still the same error. Finally contacted support by phone and was told that the lower price didn't exist. That it depends on seat availability, the site hasn't updated yet(in 2 days?) Or the airline isn't accepting the price. So why give a lower price if people are unable to purchase at that price? Beyond irritated.
We squashed a few bugs and made other general usability improvements to further increase performance.
