📊 BATTERY USE
 
AccuBattery measures the actual battery usage using information from the battery charge controller. Battery usage per app is determined by combining these measurements with information on which app is in the foreground. Android calculates battery usage using pre-baked profiles that device manufacturers provide, like how much power the CPU uses. In practice however, these numbers tend to be highly inaccurate.

Odd that I never wrote a review for this. I've used this app for a long time, its been really helpful. Unfortunately Android has been doing its best to make sure apps like this are shut down to "save power" but this one on my mobile phone (Android 13) still runs proper (Android 15, does not). My one complaint, is that there's no way to in-app say you got a new battery, the only way is a full reset of the app and all its data. :/ Still though, helped me get my battery to 2,000 cycles (6 years).

You'll use it for a week before you get solid data but once rolling, its awesome. A month in and with the battery maximized for my routines and habits, it's beyond cool. There isnt another app out there thats this in depth on battery discharge data, charging data, app use, battery health, longevity and protection, etc. If you are diagnosing a battery issue or just maximizing its health and longevity, this is it. Gets no better, imho.

THE Battery App!! If you want to find out the overall battery health of your Android device, this is THE app you want and ABSOLUTELY worth the premium purchase (even/especially if you use an ad blocker). After several (read: more than 2-3) charge cycles of use you will get an accurate estimate (or is near as you're going to find) for the true health of your battery. Background power usage is completely negligible so do what the instructions say and make sure it can stay running all the time.
