TOTP Authenticator helps you manage your accounts online by adding a second verification step when you log in. When you activate 2-factor authentication on a site, the so-called 2FA authentication, or you are asked to access a social site or an e-commerce site, in addition to the password, you will also have to enter a code generated by the TOTP Authenticator app on your phone.

The OTP verification code (usually 6 digits) can be generated by the Authenticator app on your phone, even if you are not connected to the internet as it works offline.

The app complies with the latest TOTP standards, the algorithms are those used today by major service providers that generate time-based codes.

The single-use OTP code is generated a new one every 30 seconds based on the key provided by the site where you want to authenticate.
