About this app

Greenspace helps you to discover, navigate, and experience parks and greenways in Raleigh, Cary, Durham, and surrounding areas. Use the map to find greenspaces around you, and get information to help identify your optimal destination. Share your experiences by posting images and journeys while in a park or on the greenway.

Search - Use the listing to find parks and greenways closest to your current location. Easily see amentities and features within each greenspace. Record your favorite greenspaces so you can easily find them later.

Settings - Choose from a variety of different map types and toggle different map markers to create the best map to experience greenspaces around you

Obstructions - Record any short-term or long-term obstructions on the trails (fallen tree branches, flooded trails) to help others navigate around any obstacles.

Useful app for using Raleigh's greenways, at least on my old phone. However the app does not run on my Android 14 phone. The user interface is a bit rough and could use some finesse - I have to recenter my position each time I leave and re-enter the app and there's no option to orient the map in the direction of travel. Addressing these two issues, along with working with Android 14, will go a long way in improving the user interface. Preventing screen timeouts would be nice, too.

This app really sucks. The layers don't work and there's absolutely no useful information on here. Might need to unpublish this app altogether and go back to the drawing board.
