As an app that's designed to represent the brand and get people excited about it, it's doing the opposite of what it's supposed to. QR scanner not opening (even after reopening the app), half of the app covered with a white box, impossible to see what support has typed in the chat because the window is so small and bikes showing as available when in fact none are, are just some of the issues I've encountered in the span of one booking. Phoning support is also impossible.

I needed to re-install the app several times to be able to hire a bike, same for my partner. Clearing storage seems to work too. One of the reasons why the app needs re-installing is because the QR code scanner doesn't seem to work if it can't ask you for permission. So allowing permission 'only once' when it asks you, means you won't need to re-install the app the next time you need it. For example to return your bike. Brompton needs to get its act together though. It's such a shame.

The scheme is really good for use in London, less good further afield. The app is a bit clunky, I had an issue with a hire collection late at night and was unable to use the support service as it was out of hours. So cancelled the hire. I did manage to make the app work by uninstalling and reinstalling as advised by the support team and it's all working fine now.
